Frequently Asked Questions
What are your fees?
Each clinician has their price depending on a variety of factors. To view current rates, please visit their bios on the team page.
Do you accept insurance?
We understand the desire to use insurance for mental health care—therapy is an investment, and it’s natural to want to use the benefits you’ve paid for. At Consider Yourself Counseling and Wellness, we are out-of-network providers, which means we don’t bill insurance directly. However, we can provide you with a superbill, which includes all the necessary information your insurance company requires for potential reimbursement. While being out of network may feel like a barrier at first, there are many benefits to not going through insurance and many of our clients feel relief and freedom working outside of the dictates of insurance companies. Paying privately allows you to avoid a mental health diagnosis being required on your permanant record, gives you full control over your treatment length and focus, and protects your privacy. Insurance companies often limit the number of sessions or dictate the type of treatment they will cover, which can interfere with the quality and depth of the care you receive. Insurance panels are not mental health professionals and hold the value of saving money over the value of healing. Choosing to work outside of insurance gives you and your therapist the freedom to focus on what truly matters—your healing and growth—without outside restrictions.
What is your cancellation policy?
We strive to provide exceptional care while respecting the time of both our clients and therapists. If you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide 48 hours notice. You can contact your therapist directly, call us, or log into your Jane account. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours notice will be subject to the full session fee. We understand that life can throw curveballs, and we’re willing to review individual cases where the fee might be waived.
I can’t pinpoint a traumatic event, but I don't feel right. Will you still be able to help me?
Yes! Whether or not you can identify a specific moment or experience contributing to your current distress, therapy can help. We treat present issues through a brain-body-informed lens that can help you move through present distress into more freedom, regardless of whether you have specific traumatic events.
How many therapy sessions will I need?
Everyone’s therapeutic journey is unique and will depend on their goals, the depth and complexity of their past pain, their current life circumstances, and how they process their experiences as individuals. Most people need weekly sessions lasting from a few months to a year or more to meet their desired goals.
